Mr. Hanz Cruz is the current President of the Consejo (City Council) and former vice mayor of Perez Zeledon, San Isidro del General, San Jose, (pop. 150,000) where he oversaw the day-to-day operations of Costa Rica’s largest canton. Prior to politics he lived and worked in the United States for almost 10 years. In his capacity with Las Villas de San Buenas he oversees all permits, construction and government relations.
He earned a master’s degree and is fully bi-lingual in English and Spanish. He also owns one of the best restaurants in San Isidro del General called El Tenedor.
He was born and raised in San Isidro del General.
